Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_70766_13.jpg Notes: ראשון לציון הייתה אזור שבו שפע יין רב בתקופות קדומות. ברחוב ההסתדרות פינת שפרינצק בראשלquotצ ממוקם גן הגיתות . במקום נחשפה ב-1991 גת תעשייתית עם רצפת פסיפס מquotהתקופה הביזנטיתquot היא quotתקופת התלמודquot במאות ה-5�6 לספירה. ב-2003 התגלו בחולות ראשון לציון מספר גיתות מהתקופה ההלניסטית ומתקופת הברזל. שתיים מהן הועתקו לגן הגיתות. בגן נבנתה גם גת מודרנית על בסיס מודל של גת ביזנטית. גת זו שימשה את תלמידי בית הספר ידלין ללימוד תהליך ייצור היין ולהתנסות בהפקתו מספר שנים מדריכה על הענבים ועד מילויי הבקבוקים.
