El Al Israel Airlines does not run on the Sabbath day. Since airports too stop taking off and landing, airlines have to adjust their timetables before or after the Sabbath. In the regions where the orthodox Jews live, they block the entrance so that foreigners and people from other regions cannot drive in their region on the Sabbath day.
