The writers of the Bible said that they spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. This means that even though the Bible was written by people, it contains God’s will and words. Let’s suppose that a lawyer was asked by a client to write down his will. In this case, it is the lawyer who wrote down the will, but the client is the true author of the will. This is because the will contains the client’s thoughts and words, not the lawyer’s. Likewise, the true author of the Bible is God.
