Jesus’ teachings about humility and servanthood are recorded throughout the Bible. Through the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector, Jesus taught that those who humble themselves will be exalted.<ref>{{Cite web |url=https://www.studylight.org/study-desk.html?q1=Luke+18%3A9-14+&q2=&ss=0&t1=eng_n84&t2=eng_kjv&t3=eng_nas&ns=0&sr=1&ot=bhs&nt=wh&hv1=1&b=verse&d=3 |título=Lucas 18:9–14 |editorial= |cita= }}</ref> He taught us how to humble ourselves and serve others by setting an example for us. A prime example is the Foot Washing Ceremony, which was kept before the holy supper of the Passover. At that time, washing someone’s feet was the role of a person in a lower position such as a servant.<ref>{{인용 |url=https://books.google.co.kr/books?id=u4PpJQ0jRVkC&pg=PA1340&dq=Judaism+customs+feet+wash+slave&hl=ko&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjKgdzy4cv1AhV-r1YBHeZ9DzA4FBDoAXoECAQQAg#v=onepage&q=Judaism%20customs%20feet%20wash%20slave&f=false |título=WASHING OF FEET |sitioweb=The Bible Cyclopaedia John W. Las enseñanzas de Jesús sobre la humildad y el servicio están escritas en toda la Biblia. OF FEET |sitioweb=The Bible Cyclopaedia John W.
