The Church of God has received more than 5,000 awards, including the order of merit, citations, and certificates of appreciation from many countries in recognition of its wide range of social contributions. The church received the Presidential Group Citation, Medal of Merit, and Presidential Citation from three governments of the Republic of Korea and received The President’s Volunteer Service Award (Gold: highest honor for a group) 74 times from the U.S. In 2016, the Church of God in the U.K. received The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, which was unusual for a religious group, which gained attention from the media at home and abroad.
