The administrator (the “Administrator”) of churchofgod.wiki (the “Website”) hereby sets forth this Privacy Policy in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations to protect users’ personal information and to promptly and effectively address privacy-related inquiries and complaints.

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

[B] Information Automatically Collected When Users Access the Website

The following information is automatically generated when users access the Website and is collected only to the minimum extent necessary to provide and improve its services. Users are not individually identified through this information.

  • Information Collected: IP address, cookies, Website access and usage logs, device information, and other similar information
  • Collection Method: Automatically collected by the Website’s systems and analytics tools, including Google Analytics (“GA”), when users access the Website
  • Purpose of Collection: To optimize Website bandwidth, analyze usage statistics, and improve services

    • Opting Out of GA Data Collection: Users may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Opting out will not restrict access to or use of the Website.

      • Chrome Settings: In Chrome, go to [Settings] → [Privacy and security] →  [Third-party cookies], and select [Block third-party cookies]. Menu names and procedures may vary depending on the browser and version.

3. Retention and Destruction of Information

The retention period and method of destruction vary depending on the purpose for which the information was collected and the nature of the information.

[A] Personal Information Submitted via Email

Personal information is destroyed without delay once the purposes for which it was collected and used have been fulfilled. However, if retention is required under applicable laws and regulations, the information will be retained for the period prescribed by law.
Personal information is permanently destroyed using technical methods that prevent its recovery or restoration.

[B] Automatically Collected Information, Including GA Data

Data subject to GA’s data-retention settings is retained for up to 14 months and automatically deleted after the applicable retention period expires.

4. Disclosure and Sharing of Personal Information with Third Parties

The Administrator does not disclose or sell users’ personal information to third parties without their consent, except in the following circumstances:

  • When the user has given prior consent to the disclosure of personal information to a third party
  • When disclosure is required by law or requested by a law enforcement authority in accordance with the procedures prescribed by law

5. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing and Cross-Border Transfers

The Website uses the external services listed below to analyze Website usage statistics and improve its services. In connection with the use of these services, the automatically collected information described in section [B] may be transferred outside the country.

Users have the following rights regarding their personal information. However, the rights available and the extent to which they may be exercised vary depending on the type of information collected.

  • Rights: Users may request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of the processing of their personal information, and may withdraw their consent.
  • How to Exercise These Rights: Users may submit a written request by email to the Administrator at churchofgodwiki.admin@gmail.com.
  • Scope and Limitations
    • [A] Information Submitted via Email: Because the Administrator may be able to identify a particular individual through information such as an email address, users may request the deletion of their information or the suspension of its processing.
    • [B] Automatically Collected Information: The Administrator cannot link IP addresses, cookie identifiers, or other information collected through GA to a particular user. It is therefore not possible to identify and delete an individual user’s data. Users who wish to prevent further collection may use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or block cookies as described in section 2.

7. Measures to Safeguard Personal Information

The Administrator implements the following security measures to protect users’ personal information:

  • Secure Data Transmission: SSL/TLS encryption through HTTPS is used to securely transmit personal information over the network.
  • System Protection: Appropriate firewalls and password protection measures are maintained to prevent unauthorized access from external sources.
