The Church of God in Caracas, Venezuela, was established in April 2005 in the Libertador Municipality, Capital District, Caracas. Its official name is the World Mission Society Church of God in Caracas, Venezuela.

Features
Venezuela, located at the northernmost tip of South America and bordering Colombia, derives its name from a Spanish expression meaning “Little Venice.” The name originated when early explorers likened the stilt houses built along Lake Maracaibo in northern Venezuela to those of Venice, Italy. A member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Venezuela ranks among the world’s leading oil-producing nations.[1] The capital, Caracas, sits at an elevation of about 1,000 meters and enjoys a temperate climate. The city is distinguished by its grand modern architecture, much of which was constructed in the 1950s during a period of urban development that included major government buildings.
Established in 2005 with support from members in Peru, the Church of God in Caracas laid the early foundation of the gospel in Venezuela.[2] Members who observe the new covenant and hold firm faith in the Spirit and the Bride have also visited Korea through the Overseas Visiting Group program. One participant from the 48th group shared, “I sought God from childhood and came to realize the existence of God the Mother. With the love I learned from Mother, I will proclaim God Elohim, the Savior of this age.”[3] In 2019, a member of the Church of God in Caracas appeared on Noticias24 —a Venezuelan digital news outlet—to testify about the Second Coming Christ and God the Mother as recorded in the Bible.[4]
Members continue to share the love of God Elohim through a wide range of activities across Venezuela. They have carried out cleanup campaigns in busy areas such as the beaches of La Guaira, areas near Artigas Station, and streets in San José,[5][6] while also holding ongoing blood drives to promote a culture that values life. In April 2013, ahead of the Passover, members visited the Luis Ordaz Nursing Home, offering the elderly cherished memories through cultural performances and fellowship events.
In 2020, Venezuela faced economic hardship, political unrest, and the COVID-19 pandemic simultaneously, leaving many citizens in severe distress. As the crisis disrupted water supplies, members of the Church of God in Caracas walked up to five kilometers under the scorching sun to fetch and deliver water to households in need. One member reflected, “A household of grandparents and grandchildren had no way to secure drinking water and could only wait for rain. I’m grateful that we could help, even in a small way.”[7]
In recognition of their continued service, the Church of God in Caracas received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Coordination for Comprehensive Care of Older Adults under the Secretariat of Social Management, Caracas City Government in 2013, followed by another Certificate of Appreciation from a member of the Caracas City Council in 2024.
